Best Friends Forvever

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are all well:) x Christmas shopping all done? That's what I am going to be up to today....shopping with the hubby and then putting the final touches to the Table Plan for my sons wedding which is next Saturday..... so excited:) But I still don't have an outfit.....eeekk Hopefully I will find something suitable today!!!!!

Today I would like to share my' Fiends Forever Card'.....not sure about this one:(

  • First I have taken a 63/4" square card blank in soft pink.
  • In each corner I have stamped the corner stamp from the Justrite Vintage Oval Labels set in Archival Sap Green.
  • Next I stamped my focal image from the same stamp set using Ruby Lapus embossing powder and used the 'Best Friends Forever sentiment' which I have stamped again in Sqap Green ink. I have die cut it out using Labels Six and inked through it with a little Milled Lavender. I have then die cut the next size Label Six out onto pink card and stamped with the small decorative stamp from the same set. (I have inked it with a little Bundled Sage)
  • I have taken a piece of white card measuring 6" square. I have stamped the corners and straight edged tiny decorative stamp onto the card as in picture.  I have used the Jazmyne embossing folder and taken it through my Grand Calibur twice so that it fits my piece of card. I have used Bundled Sage and Milled Lavender over the embossed area and matted this onto pink card and then adhered this to the main card blank.
  • Next I have taken the main Labels six image and matted it onto the pink Labels Six and adhere this to the top part of the card.
  • I have used the Scalloped Border One to create a pink border which I have inked a little with Bundled Sage and adhered to the bottom half of the card centrally.
  • Next I have made a small pink rose from the Rose Creations die set with a small ivory pearl in the centre and adhered it to a small pink seam binding bow.  I have attached this to the centre of the border.
  • To finish I have added a little Taffeta Stickles Glitter:)

  2. It's a very pretty card and the colours are blending very well. It's a bit too twee for me but that is because I'm more of a purple and black person myself. Loads of people will admire this card. Can't see what you could have improved upon but I might have done the bow in white....
WOW, you are a brave lady, leaving it until shortly before the big day for your outfit. But you'll find one, I did exactly the same for my wedding!
    Hugs, Rose

  7. Morning Nikki, I absolutely love this card, the colours 'marry' perfectly together, they are so soft and pastel, and the stamping and heat embossing and also the dry embossing (I have just received this embossing folder, I think it's gorgeous), are stunning. I love it !!
Good Luck with the shopping, I went to my local supermarket yesterday at 9.30am and spent 15 minutes riding round and round the car park before I got a car park space, I thought to myself, 'who works' because everyone seemed to be there, it was just like 'Christmas Eve', it was horrid, I hate that part of Christmas, it was a grrrrrrrr moment haha. I have the Vets with my cat this morning for a check-up before they will give me the Advocate for the back of her neck, so no doubt they will be telling me to reduce her food intake, yet again !!! they say if you can't feel their 'ribs' then they are overweight, I can't feel Lizzie's haha, at present she is asleep on the rug in front of the fire, totally oblivious to what is about to happen, and it is so stressful going to the vets, wish me luck haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
